Product Description
Made for us in Kashmir, this beautifully decorated santoor has a sweet and lively sound. For centuries the santoor has been a popular folk instrument in Kashmir - a cousin of the Persian santur. it is only in the last 75 years or so that the instrument has become a vehicle for classical Hindustani music. This instrument is suited to both. The artwork on this instrument is exquisite and it was hand picked in Kashmir. It is made of mulberry wood. It measures 25 inches on the bottom side excluding the tuning pegs and 13.5 inches at the top of the instrument. It is 21 inches long.
Included are 2 playing mallets, a tuning wrench and a vinyl carry bag.
